Meet your lactation consultant
Dolly Crespo

Hi I’m Dolly Crespo and I come from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. During my first pregnancy I discovered La Leche League (LLL) meetings. Through LLL, I experienced the benefits of having a caring support group that helped me understand and care for my baby. By having a community of mothers from which to learn from, my take on breastfeeding changed dramatically.
My first baby girl Caitlin was born 29 years ago, a few months before I would graduate from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with a BA in Business Administration. Soon after graduation, I became a LLL leader and volunteered at 4 hospitals in the area in order to become an IBCLC in 1998.
After receiving my credential as a Lactation Consultant, I worked with the WIC program to establish and maintain 10 support groups in the Western Region of Puerto Rico. Around that time, I built a private practice as a Lactation Consultant, Certified Childbirth Educator and Doula, and served mothers throughout the region for 15 years. At the end of those years I founded a non-profit organization that helped mothers become LLL Certified Peer Counselors and lead their own community groups.
In 2011, I graduated from nursing school and immediately was hired by OU Medical Center, Children’s Hospital in OKC, Oklahoma. For the first time in my career, I had the opportunity to work closely with 15 amazing IBCLCs, doctors and nurses who supported breastfeeding in the hospital in a way I had never experienced before. I also had the privilege to work full time as the only IBCLC in a 90 bed NICU. Fast forward to today, I have consulted for Baby Friendly USA, John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and CHI Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA. I contributed to the Department of Defense, Air Force, Army and Veterans Affairs by building lactation programs in MOMMC in Nevada, BMACH in Georgia, LRMC in Germany and VA Puget Sound in Washington. Throughout the pandemic in 2019, from my residence in Germany, I helped women from all over Europe and Africa. I assisted soldiers and embassy personnel in one of largest American hospitals overseas via Telehealth. I also develop a Red Cross volunteer/mentorship program for CLCs to become IBCLCs.
My passion lies in Christ and connecting with mothers, babies and families from around the world. I am very happy to be in NW, Arkansas and look forward to exploring the beautiful landscapes Arkansas has to offer while creating my Youtube channel (coming soon) to connect with more mothers and professionals around the world.

Our Happy Stories
I cannot thank Dolly enough for all her help. I surely would have given up that second week, if I did not have her support and coaching.. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about breastfeeding. Dolly is one of the most loving and compassionate people I have had the pleasure of meeting. She makes her clients feel so supported and at ease during the postpartum period which can be such an emotional time. I highly recommend her as a Lactation Consultant.

Without Dolly my breastfeeding journey would have ended before it started. As a first time mom, I thought that breastfeeding would come naturally and with ease. I quickly realized after my first consult(prenatal) with Dolly that breastfeeding twins would take heart and dedication. I was given a step by step guide in order to reach my goal of breastfeeding my twins for at least 6 months. I was producing more than enough milk just one week after giving birth and I am still strong after 9 months. Dolly was just text or call away whenever I had questions. I will forever cherish the knowledge that she gave me and the huge role she played in my first motherhood experience.

Our sweet Brooklyn was born with a lip and tongue tie as well as laryngomalacia. Not only was she having difficulty gaining weight, nursing was extremely painful for me. Dolly provided wonderful support in helping me learn to latch her in ways that would protect my breasts and make it easiest for her to suck. She set us up with a plan that aided our baby girl to quickly gaining weight. Dolly kept a detailed track of Brooklyn’s growth and always knew how to adjust our plan to help us both. Her joyful spirit and positive attitude were just what we needed.
